You Can Keep Your Kindle

I love to read. And I have great memories of my mom taking me to the library when I was very young. My mom, like myself, was raised as an only child. She knew the importance that I learn to entertain myself. I am so grateful she did. Not only do I have a deep love for books, but I love libraries as well. I can wait to take my 5 month old to "baby story time" at our local library.

Books: Keep them. Yes, e-readers are amazing, and yes, they will probably become a more dominant reading platform over time, but consider this about a book: It has a terrific, high-resolution display. It is pretty durable; you could get it a little wet and all would not be lost. It has tremendous battery life. You can even borrow them free at sites called libraries

I purchased this fabulous pair of Manolo Blahniks about ten years ago. They saw me through my single days in my late twenties  - first dates (and last dates), girls nights outs, a move from Nashville to Charleston. They travelled with me to Cabo San Lucas & New York. They were with me when my now husband proposed to me in Rome. If you could walk a mile in these shoes, you would never ever want to slip them off your feet! Sadly, the night before my rehearsal dinner the right heel broke.  It is not repairable. And it was truly the end of an era. I search for these on a monthly basis and look forward to new adventures once they are back on my feet. In the meantime - Wanted! Size 8.5

Nude by Bill Blass makes me smile

I have been wearing this scent since I was in high school. It was discontinued years ago, but I have several bottles stashed away. If truth be told, I only wear it a few times each month - but it makes me smile everytime.
